Our sole business mission is to provide high quality, state of the art consultation and training services for health and mental health care systems seeking to integrate behavioral health and primary medical services, including both adult and pediatric medicine services. We achieve this mission by staying current with the empirical literature on the clinical, service quality and economic benefits of integration and by continually refining our consulting skills and tools based upon results.
We offer an array of technical assistance training workshops that teach our clients how to better understand the nuances of the primary behavioral health model of care. We also conduct planning workshops designed to help center directors and administrator design and implement integrated care programs that work.. We teach both medical and behavioral health providers how to change their practice styles to work together as a closely knit, clinically powerful team.
We offer on site, in the field consultation and training to center executives, medical directors and mental health directors on the design and implementation of successful integrated care programs. Our consultation model addresses local realities and streamlines the start up process by providing an array of ?boilerplate? tools such as program manuals, job descriptions and program brochures. We provide specific guidance in areas such as achieving strategic planning and organization buy-in objectives, defining core programmatic philosophies, assuring the financial viability and sustainability of the program, defining the scope, services and objectives of the program, identifying and addressing training needs and evaluating both internal fidelity of the service model and programmatic outcomes.
We also provide a comprehensive, core competencies based training program for behavioral health providers that are going to work in primary care and for medical providers that are intending to place a behaviorist on the medical team. This training program has been successfully applied in over 100 job venues since 1997. It consists of didactic instruction, followed by in vivo training and supervised clinical practice.
